Longjohns made in a wool and cotton fabric. The cotton is inside to prevent irritation and the wool is outside for warmth.
How they are made
The production process for this article is very long and everything is made in house, to maximise quality control. The pattern is developed on CAD (Computer Aided Design) and the pieces are optimized to guarantee a perfect fit. Finally the garment is assembled with maximum care and precision. The use of the computer gives us the utmost accuracy in shaping and size developing; using this system we don’t have any limits, so we can realize bespoke garments on clients request.
Charateristics of longjohns made in wool and cotton
This garment has a perfect fit that is very comfortable, it is also invisible when worn under trousers; the main purpose of the fabric is to avoid the wool being in contact with the skin, this is achieved by interposing a layer of cotton. The main qualities of this garment are its extreme warmth, softness and an excellent hygroscopicity, the ability to absorb perspiration. Consequently, these charateristics, make this special fabric ideal for underwear for those with allergies. In addiction it provides a perfect fit with no constrictions; the fabric together with the very comfortable cut, makes this garment, perfect in cold winters.
Furthermore, in order to make our garments even more comfortable, we produce them with an adjustable waistline. The waistband has a 3 button closure which allows you to regulate the size; in addition the fly is cut on the diagonal in order to guarantee total cover. As a result of this particular cut, whatever size you choose the coverage is always perfect. In the production of this complicated fabric, we use speciality machines which are able to produce to two fabrics at the same time. This garment is perfect after washing, because the cotton joined to the wool brings stability, softness and prevents felting.
The colour of longjohns wool and cotton
We do not colour this fabric because the dyeing process would decrease the fibers’ natural softness.
